Performance at Work

Almost 3 years after the September 2020 announcement of plans to build a new branch, Milton Cat opened the doors of their new 85,000 sf facility in late August 2023.

In 2020, Milton CAT, a seller of construction machinery and power equipment, purchased a 20-acre site in the City of Cicero, NY. The empty site now serves as the corporate headquarters for SITECH Northeast, a sister company that sells and supports the technology and automation side of Milton’s earthmoving equipment business.

The full-service location will be Central New York’s source for Caterpillar machines, work tools, generators, engines, parts, service, and technology.

Advancements in construction technology have transformed how people work; evolving customers’ needs; and the employees outgrew their former location. RWH solved the problem by creating a space for Milton CAT's industrial equipment; equipment showroom; and office space that would coexist with their Sitech corporate headquarters.

The building supports Milton CAT’s goal of incorporating the various programs to all work cohesively. Now open to the public, the facility further accomplishes the goal of establishing Milton CAT as a convenient and trusted partner for customers throughout western New York.

The 30,000 sf service shop is fully equipped for the more than 20 on-site service technicians to complete basic preventive maintenance to full machine rebuilds. Housing 24 service bays, the service shop features heated floors; extra windows for greater visibility; three in-floor scissor lifts with 12,000 pounds of lifting capacity each; nine cranes; and eight fluid stations that dispense triple-filtered oil. Field service technicians will be able to quickly fill their trucks with any necessary fluids and head out to support a customer on their job site.

The facility features space-maximizing parts storage systems enabling Milton Cat to be able to stock more than 17,000 parts. Even more, the huge on-site parts inventory is supported by a nightly parts distribution shuttle. There is a state-of-the-art hydraulic hose assembly shop to quickly address hose failures for all machine makes and models of equipment. Most hose assemblies can be built on the same day.

Milton CAT North Syracuse will also be home to SITECH Northeast’s operation center which will offer sales, service, and support for Trimble machine control technology.

In addition to Milton Cat’s on-site inventory of new and used machines and attachments, customers are able to try before they buy in Milton Cat’s 3D-modeled demo area.
